Welcome to the Transition Management Forum Asia 2011
The 2nd annual Transition Management Forum Asia was held at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong on Tuesday 8th March 2011 and brought together the leading institutional investors, asset managers and transition managers from across the region to share their insights on the development and outlook for the industry in Asia.
Conference highlights included:
- A keynote address from Martin Mannion, Director - Pensions Finance, Investments and Risk, GlaxoSmithKline & Chairman of the T-Charter
- Buy-side speakers, including Adrian Teng of Jardine Matheson, Frank Lee of Samsung Asset Management and Kent Sutherland from VFMC, discussing strategies to evaluate a successful transition
- Case studies and presentations delivered by experts from ConvergEx Group, Credit Suisse, Russell Investments and Inalytics who addressed issues of execution, crossing networks, transitioning a fixed income portfolio and the usefulness of past performance when selecting your manager
- A panel discussion featuring leading transition managers from ConvergEx Group, JP Morgan, Russell Investments and State Street which debated the merits of various models of transition management
- The outlook for the industry, its role and expected growth for Asia in 2011 and beyond
